Waltz Chair

Waltz Chair is a cantilever base meeting chair. Its final form came from an exploration of ways to refresh the classic bent tubing cantilever chair. We sectioned the the frame into a bent tube lower half which splits elegantly into a dual bent wire upper. 'Waltz' relates to the way these parallel wires playfully 'dance' around the seat as well the the Dutch word 'Wals' which is the technique for bending large curves in steel.
